People are at the heart of everything we do. And you would be no different. We are all vital cogs in delivering our care and support. We’re looking for a Volunteer Development Team Administrator to underpin our evolving approach to volunteering.

The administrator role will be working in our People Team supporting the organisation in recruiting new volunteers along with supporting volunteers and volunteer team leaders throughout the volunteer journey.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

As part of a busy, reactive and innovative team, this post will have a strong focus on being the first point of contact for internal and external enquiries about volunteering.

The post holder will be accountable for the competition of administrative processes involved in the Volunteer journey from recruitment to exit. The role will be responsible for the prospecting for new volunteers and the foundation for a great volunteering experience. Everything from recruitment to induction, supporting the volunteering journey right from the first contact.

**THE MUST HAVES**
- A passion for volunteering and experience of working with volunteers.
- Strong administration experience.
- Highly proficient user of databases, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and producing reports.
- Ability to manage a number of on-going tasks, prioritise effectively and work under own initiative.
- People-focused team player, able to relate to people at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
- Able to communicate sensitively and understand boundaries of working with volunteers -Flexible, empathetic, enthusiastic, positive attitude.
- Act as an ambassador for the Hospice at all times #ProudToWorkAtHoSF

**THE IT WOULD BE GOOD TO HAVES...**
- Knowledge of best practice in recruitment to deliver inclusive unbiased outcomes.A sound understanding of the principles of good volunteer practice and processes.Hold a full UK driver’s licence with your own vehicle to travel if required by the role-Prepared to attend occasional events out of office hours

**You will be expected to comply with Health and Safety, Fire and Infection Control regulations and Hospice policies. You will need to complete all mandatory training.**
