**Youth Mentor**

For this Youth Mentor role you will be required to work in school setting. Your responsibilities will be to settle the students in when they come into school in the morning, support them during their lessons, help the class teacher set up any practical lessonsor activities, supervise the students during break times to make sure everyone is safe, behaviour management and mentoring. You will mainly be in the classroom working with a small group of 6-8 students, all of which will have some form of Social, Emotionaland Mental Health Needs. They may be times when you are asked to work with a student on a 1:1 basis who needs some extra help or to remove them from the class to a quieter place if they have a behavioural outburst. Due to the students needs, the ideal YouthWorker for this role will need to have had previous experience, be able to act a role model and be able to manage challenging behaviour.

**SEMH School**

Found in the London Borough of Islignton, they SEMH School caters for girls and boys aged between 4-16 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. They currently have 120 students who attend and in their last Ofsted in May 2018, they were reviewedas 'Good’ in all areas.
