Wentworth James Group are currently working with a leading independent asbestos risk management company. Who provide practical, cost-effective management, consultancy and training services for public and private sectors.

We are currently looking for a Trainee Asbestos Surveyor to operate the **Southeast** and **London** area.

**Key Responsibilities of the job when fully qualified**:

- Co-ordination of and undertaking surveys on client sites throughout the UK, to client expectations and requirements.
- Providing a quality service in accordance with client’s requests in a professional manner.
- Carry out all day-to-day activities on site or in the office punctually and competently and in accordance with company policies and documented procedures.
- Prompt compilation of survey reports in conjunction with administration staff and ensuring that all clients’ needs are attended to without delay and that invoices are raised for all services provided.
- Technical review of reports prior to issue to clients.
- Implementation of customer care - liaison with clients, dealing with technical queries and providing written confirmation of results in accordance with agreed procedures and promptly reporting to the Quality Manager any complaints made by clients.
- Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of the Company Quality Manual with regard to adherence to documented procedures, maintenance of accurate and traceable records, handing of samples and equipment.
- Keeping up to date with current technical developments relevant to the work undertaken by the company and strict observation of all Health and Safety requirements for work with asbestos.
- Co-ordinating with the Customer Development Manager to identify any potential areas of progression for the company.

**Must Have**:

- A clean UK Driving License
- A willingness to learn a specialist role
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with strict timescales and deadlines to work to.

**What is provided?**
- All training is provided on the job and is done internally and will last around 6 months.
- If you are successful after 6 months you will be given a generous pay rise to around **£30,000.**
- All qualifications needed to do the job you will be able to do alongside your training through the company.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
