As part of HVAC Cooling, SPX Cooling Technologies is a leader in high quality industrial HVAC equipment used to cool large facilities like hospitals, data centers, and power plants. With cooling towers, fans, and refrigeration units, companies rely on brands like Marley, Recold, and SGS to provide comfort and mission critical and industrial cooling solutions.

**JOB SUMMARY**
- To work as part of a team assembling Cooling Towers and spare parts when required.
- Tower Assembler’s are to monitor and action/report any discrepancies found in the quality of towers produced.
- Assemble Towers using Assembly Manuals, Assembly Build Orders (or BOM), drawings, production orders and oral instructions. Make sure all relevant quality documents/procedures are adhered to and completed, including any customer specific requirements/parts are fitted.
- To prioritise workflow to make sure all required delivery times are met.
- Overtime and weekend work as necessary and advise supervisor of any additional labour requirements.
- Support other internal departments/processes as necessary, such as Punch/Brake Press, Fabrication & Logistics/Stores.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assembly of Cooling towers and spare parts when required.
- Tower Assembler’s are to monitor and action any discrepancies found in the quality of towers produced.
- Assemble Towers using Assembly Manuals, Assembly Build Orders (or BOM), drawings, production orders and oral instructions.
- Make sure all relevant quality documents are adhered to and completed, including any customer specific requirements/parts are fitted.
- Help prioritise workflow to make sure all required delivery times are met.
- To be available for overtime/weekend work as necessary and advise supervisor of any additional labour requirements.
- Follow and adhere to company safe working practices and safe systems of work.
- Work from production documentation and help resolve any arising issues.
- Help train new Tower Assemblers, making sure they meet all safety & quality requirements.
- Understand and read engineering drawings, to follow build manuals and resolve practical problems. Report any issues immediately to Supervisor.
- Correct use and maintenance of plant and equipment.
- Knowledge of various product ranges and associated components.
- Carry out all necessary process & procedures.
- Prioritise own workload and maintain highest quality of work whilst meeting tight deadlines.
- Safe use of various machines i.e. power hand tools, FLT’s, O/H cranes etc.
- Participate and contribute to Production Meetings as required.
- Complete and maintain quality documents as required by the ISO 9001 process.
- Participate in annual stock count.
- Complete Health and Safety Training as required.
- Must participate in Health and Safety training and Risk assessments as required.
- Carry out 5S & Continuous Improvement (CI) activities.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**

Required Education / Experience
- Experience in Assembly of Cooling Towers and Associated Equipment desirable.
- Health and Safety Training
- Use of hand tools
- Experience of working within a team and on own initiatives.
- Ability to read Bills of Materials, Production Orders and drawings.

Preferred Education / Experience
- Experience driving FLT’s and the use of overhead cranes (valid licenses desirable but not essential - refresher training courses can be arranged)
- Ability to work on own initiative and also work as part of a team.

Pay: £23,000.00-£28,500.00 per year
