Business Engagement Support Officer

Business Engagement Support Officer who has a confident and polite manner with great organisational, administrative and people skills is required to support the development and delivery of the Local Skills Improvement Plan for a Business Network Association based in Preston, Lancashire, North West England.
**SALARY**: £25,000 per annum + Benefits

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Business Engagement Support Officer who has a confident and polite manner with great organisational, administrative and people skills.
The organisation is part of a Department for Education (DfE) project putting employers at the heart of skills provision across the county.
Having conducted research and submitting a roadmap to DfE, the next phase of the project is to deliver on the recommendations to support employers. This will require collaboration with businesses across a wide range of sectors, skills and training providers, and other local stakeholders.
Reporting to the Project Lead, as a Business Engagement Support Officer you will be responsible for building and maintaining such relationships.

DUTIES
**Your duties as a Business Engagement Support Officer include**:
Following leads to involve relevant people
Keeping participants and stakeholders informed about activity
Arranging meetings and collaborative groups
Secretarial and administrative functions
Liaising with the team on events and engaging businesses
Liaising with stakeholders to co-ordinate joint activity
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
As the Business Engagement Support Officer you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:
Be confident and polite when engaging participants
Able to act as an ambassador for the company, clients, partners, and stakeholders
Able to work to targets, resilient & determined personality
Good command of English
Good computer skills
Professional mind-set and ability to following project guidelines
Confidence in dealing with high-profile people from a wide range of backgrounds
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Good organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
Polite and courteous telephone manner
Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload
Provide input into weekly/monthly reports for management meetings and the Board
