Contextual factors might include socio-economic background, caring responsibilities, health conditions, ethnicity, or other protected characteristics that are not well-represented in the profession. The post aims to provide paid clinical experience for individuals who are looking to pursue a career as a Clinical Psychologist but have struggled to find paid work experience to support their career path.

**Main duties of the job**:
There are two posts being advertised. In one, you would spend 6mths in our outpatient neuropsychology department as a part of the Non-Epileptic Attack Disorder (NEAD) service, followed by 6mths in the Salford Community Stroke and Neurorehabilitation Team (CSNRT). In the other post, you would spend 12mths split between inpatient neurorehabilitation (e.g. stroke) and a research assistant role. Both posts will involve direct and indirect clinical experience working with service users, families, and multidisciplinary team members. Clinical work will include cognitive assessments, cognitive rehabilitation, and psychological therapy with individuals with neurological conditions (e.g. acquired brain injuries, stroke, long-term neurological conditions). There may also be the opportunity to co-facilitate group sessions. The research role may include supporting and contributing to ongoing projects and developing your own ideas.
