We are currently seeking exceptional
**Non-Medical Prescribers** (NMPs) to join our dynamic and multi-disciplinary teams in Camden. As integral members of our collaborative approach, our NMPs play a pivotal role in delivering recovery-oriented alcohol and drug intervention services. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment and care for Service Users. Our NMPs also take the lead in prescribing and reviewing medication, contributing significantly to the development of prescribing clinics and acting as a crucial point of contact for fellow workers and partner agencies on prescribing issues.

We are a vibrant, collaborative team, comprising a dedicated ensemble that includes a service manager, consultant psychiatrists, medical professionals, compassionate nurses, attentive healthcare assistants, empathetic recovery staff, passionate volunteers, efficient administrators, and supportive peer mentors.

**This role is for a Fixed Term Contract of 15 months**

**Salary**: £45,274.94 - £50,521.02 Pro Rata (CGL Scale 43-48) Depending on experience (+£3915 ILW)

**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:

- Work closely with service users to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate tailored treatments and interventions, ensuring personalised care.
- Responsibly prescribe and regularly review medication to meet service users' therapeutic needs, aligning with best practices and established protocols.
- Prioritise health concerns and offer appropriate support, especially during complex, urgent, or emergency situations, seeking guidance from the Clinical Lead when necessary.
- Assess, update, and guide service users for BBV vaccination and immunisation programs while supporting the adoption of healthy lifestyle strategies.
- Communicate thoughtfully with service users and their families, anticipating communication barriers and adapting to different cultural backgrounds and communication preferences.
- Maintain seamless communication within the organisation and with external stakeholders, advocating for service users and colleagues when required.
- Accurately document consultations in compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.
- Engage in self and peer reviews to assess care effectiveness, actively participating in the annual appraisal system to enhance care delivery.

**About you**:

- Qualified pharmacist with current GPhC registration and two years’s post qualification experience OR First level registered nurse with a current PIN AND three years post qualification experience
- Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber
- At least one year’s relevant and recent experience of working within substance misuse treatment
- Sound and demonstrable knowledge of harm reduction and health promotion interventions
- Ability to assess and recovery plan service users and formulate written reports as necessary
- Ability to communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing
- Full driving licence and access to own transport, or ability to demonstrate easy movement between services, if necessary
