Stakeholder and Regulatory Liaison Adviser

Working Hours:
_Full time is 35 hours a week. Part time is at least 21 hours across three days a week_.

- ur permanent hybrid policy sees us all working at least four days across a fortnight in the office._

Working closely with Casework Directorates, the Stakeholder and Regulatory Liaison team will focus on the impact we want to have externally on our key stakeholders and the need to work with and influence them to advance our prevention agenda. The scrutiny on our service at this time means that it is very important that we have effective and impactful engagement with our key stakeholders.

As such, you will play a pivotal role in enabling Senior Leaders in Casework to develop and implement their communication and engagement strategies with key external stakeholders.

This role will work closely with Stakeholder and Regulatory Liaison Leads to manage core day to day relationships with external stakeholders which includes industry, consumer groups, members of the regulatory family, government, other ombudsmen, respondent businesses and representatives. You will help communicate and coordinate activities on matters of mutual benefit, which includes drawing on different information to help unblock issues that the Casework Directorates are having with businesses on resolving their casework.

You will also use your experience and knowledge to help shape our prevention agenda.

Key Responsibilities- Monitoring key developments and regulatory/ legislative changes in the outside world and bringing these to attention of the relevant Leads in the team.- Helping to deliver key messages across a larger number of stakeholders.- Using data and industry insight to identify themes that may shape our overall approach to working with and influencing businesses to resolve financial complaints effectively.- Thinking logically and using an evidence-based approach to problem solving- Making sure you do the right thing by being comfortable making tough decisions

Minimum Criteria- Working with external stakeholders such as professional or financial services businesses, industry and consumer groups, government, regulators or other ombudsmen- Able to use data and insight to make informed decisions and make recommendations- Experience of working with senior stakeholders- Ability to constructively challenge- Evidence of thinking creatively- Managing conflict and having difficult conversations
