**Job description**:
Partnering with Rebellion, we are looking for a Combat Game Designer to join their growing team, working on a brand-new co-op strategy shooter project currently in development.
The Rebellion design team creates and maintains games from concept to release, working closely with other specialist teams to implement fun and immersive gameplay. In this role, you will also get hands-on with the game setup, including implementing and maintaining large data sets, as well as producing in-game content using visual scripting.

**Your responsibilities**
- Strive to achieve the vision and goals set out for combat and weapon elements in the game
- Collaborate with multiple people across different departments to ensure a unified approach to combat
- Help influence the trajectory of systems and tools required to ensure combat is of the highest quality possible
- Proactively ensure the combat design serves the audience of the game
- Mentor junior designers to help them fulfil all combat related tasks
- Consider different courses of action in your work and seek guidance when determining the best course moving forward

**The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role**
- Knowledgeable about creating game design documents and prototype specifications
- Professional experience as a weapons, combat, or game designer at a similar level
- Great communication skills
- Knowledge of the video game development process, including working in a timely manner, and prototyping and iterating appropriately
- Good knowledge of production pipelines
- Solid knowledge of weapons, ballistics, and warfare technology is a bonus
- Professional experience in multiplayer games is a plus
