For 30 years we’ve been creating incredible video games at our multiple studios, but Rebellion is more than just games. We have our own film and mo-cap studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.

We operate across multiple UK locations, with studios based in Oxford, Warwick, Liverpool, and Wakefield. **We are on the lookout for an experienced Game Designer to join our passionate team to help develop an unannounced, post-apocalyptic survival action game, at a company with a history of making exciting 3rd person shooters**

The Rebellion Design team creates and maintains games from concept to release. They work closely with the other specialist teams to implement fun and immersive gameplay utilising the game mechanics.

You will also get hands-on with the game setup. This includes implementing and maintaining large data sets, as well as producing in-game content using visual scripting.

**Responsibilities**
- Create detailed game design documents and prototype specifications which can be used throughout the production process
- Develop and iterate the game design through close collaboration with Programmers, Artists, and other disciplines
- Use in-house tools to implement features and gameplay
- Collaborate with other developers to define and tweak game mechanics
- Conduct gameplay evaluations with the team providing feedback and suggestions to help fine-tune and improve the game, whilst balancing various areas such as controls, combat, metagame, etc.

**Requirements**:

- Professional experience creating game design documents and prototype specifications
- Professional experience as a Games Designer at a similar level
- Knowledge of the video game development process, including working in a timely manner, and prototyping/iterating appropriately within that restriction
- Knowledge of production pipelines
