Public Vehicle Manufacturer/upholsterer

**We have provided our services and advice to numerous manufacturers and operators over the years, helping to shape various seating designs and structures seen on today’s buses.**
We are looking to expand our team by adding a Trim Shop/Upholstery Operative.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assisting with contract orders
- Assisting with aftersales
- Use spec documents (via Excel) when working on various contracts.
- Prepare patterns and templates - this could be by hand, by using die cutters, by saw blades etc.
- Cut fabric to correct measurements
- Cover frames/pans with foam padding and material using staples, tacks or glue.
- Operating with various tools - staple guns, spray glues, general tools etc.
- Removing old upholstery
- Assisting with the refurbishment of old upholstery.
- Various stock room duties such as assisting with goods in and out.
- Work with various materials such as leather, moquette and vinyl.

This role would suit an individual that enjoys working as part of a team but can also be confident to undertake tasks independently.
The environment in which you will work in will be social and energetic.
The role can be fast paced, so we are looking for individuals that can work under pressure and systematically.
We want someone who will be willing to grow as our business grows. Progression within our company is very important and so we are looking for someone who will want to progress to larger roles within the company.
The role will be a physical one - So we are looking for individuals with a good range of mobility with full understanding of health and safety regulations (training will also be provided).
Experience working within Upholstery will be required.
We also require applicants have at least a GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths and a basic knowledge of Microsoft tools.
Salary is dependent on experience.
**Salary**: £12.00-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 39 per week
