**Teaching Assistant for Special Educational Needs (SEN) School - 1:1 Support**

**Oldham - OL8**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable Special Educational Needs (SEN) School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will have the rewarding opportunity to work closely with a child on a one-to-one basis, providing essential support and guidance throughout their educational journey. This is a full-time position, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

**Responsibilities**:
Provide one-to-one support to a child with special educational needs, ensuring their safety, welfare, and personal development.

Assist the child in understanding and participating in classroom activities, adapting materials and resources to meet their individual needs.

Implement personalized learning plans, under the guidance of the classroom teacher and SEN coordinator.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging independence and social integration.

Support the child during transitions between activities and locations within the school premises.

Help to assess and monitor the child's progress, documenting observations and reporting to the teacher and SEN team.

Promote positive behaviour management strategies and reinforce appropriate social skills.

**Requirements**:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably in a special educational needs setting.

Knowledge and understanding of a range of special educational needs, including learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and developmental delays.

Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong rapport with children and their families.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with the wider school team.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Flexibility and adaptability to meet the individual needs of the child and the changing demands of the classroom.

A commitment to promoting inclusivity and enabling all children to reach their full potential.

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: £1,600.00-£1,800.00 per month
