Job Title: Grounds person

**Salary**: £23,000 + (dependent on experience and age)

Benefits: 28 days annual leave entitlement, staff parking, yearly performance-based bonuses, team days out through the year.

Hours: Monday - Friday (8am - 5:30pm) (weekend, bank holiday and evening work may be required) Approx 42 hours a week

Contract: Full time permanent

Location: Talog, Carmarthenshire.

THE ROLE

A multi-faceted role focusing on the maintenance of 100 acres of woodland, tracks, meadows and outbuildings.

**Duties**:

- Looking after a small flock of 30-50 sheep, 4 Goats, 3 pigs & a range of poultry
- Tractor work
- General farm and grounds maintenance
- Woodland work
- Basic gardening - strimming, mowing etc
- Felling trees
- Ad Hoc duties as required

PERSON SPECIFICATION

You will be reliable, upbeat and in good shape with an eye for detail. Glad to pitch in with a range of tasks, managing your time and prioritising your duties effectively. You can spend time working alone but communicate with and support a small team, when needed. Organised, you leave a room tidier than when you entered it and are happy to keep a written report of daily tasks, a projected weekly diary and liaise daily with the business founder. You must be happy to work around dogs as this is the companies focus.

MUST HAVE SKILLS
- Two years plus experience driving tractors and dealing with other farm machinery
- Experience with livestock management

ADDITIONAL SKILLS
- Chainsaw certificate preferable
- Interested in an Eco
- friendly approach to land management
