Assistant Buyer

Three Bridges Recruitment’s client is looking for an Assistant Buyer for an exciting new Fixed Term Contract role. This is an excellent opportunity for you to join a busy accounts payable function within a busy commercial Kirkcaldy based business. The roleis paying circa £25,000 per annum. This position will offer a balance of working from home and the office. The role will initially be for 6 months.

**Job**

The job of Assistant Buyer will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:

- Purchase ledger processing including matching, batching & coding invoices
- Ensuring appropriate authorisation of all invoices via AP system
- Chasing suppliers and outstanding payments
- Management of incoming stock, stock rotation and merchandising following company guidelines
- Increase the profitability and reduce waste and out of date stock using strategic ordering methods
- Management of suppliers within remit, new and existing to negotiate prices and new product development
- Highlighting best sellers and underperforming items, provide suggested solutions to enhance or reduce the impact on the business
- Reporting on stock control valuing and quantities, weekly, monthly and quarterly

**You**

As Assistant Buyer you will ideally be skilled and/or qualified in the following:

- Skilled in carrying out the above tasks
- You must be confident in using basic MS Excel
- Capable of working in a fast-paced commercial environment
- Organised
- Positive attitude
