**Overview**

**How will you contribute?**
- Provide employment law and best practice advice to the management team daily, escalating where required.
- Giving support to the out-bases in the South region by building effective working relationships with managers/stakeholders. Travel will be required occasionally to the out-bases to maintain the relationships and support on more complex casework.
- Manage an employee relations caseload efficiently and effectively, maintaining consistency across sites.
- Assist managers on the interpretation of company policies and procedures.
- Provide a professional service to all employees, customer, the public and external organizations.
- Ensure accurate operation of Oracle HR and Kronos and other applicable systems.
- Monitoring of sickness reporting, acting where required and coaching the managers along the process/policies.
- Collate management reports.
- Contribute towards the improvement of processes and methods of operating practices.
- Assist in the coaching, mentoring and development of the management team.
- Support in delivering the People plan for the year.
- Assist with People projects and lead where appropriate.
- Active involvement in the delivery of colleague engagement surveys and initiatives
- Ensure that site personnel records are correctly maintained, undertaking site audits, and reporting results and recommending actions where appropriate to ensure that we are compliant with legal obligations and best practice.

**What you will bring?**
- Previous HR Officer/ Advisor experience
- Have a full, clean UK driving licence as travel is required occasionally.
- Previous experience of providing employment law and best practice advice on ER cases
- Excellent knowledge of employment law
- Confidential and professional approach
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload, working under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Excellent PC skills and attention to detail
- In possession of, or working towards, CIPD Level 5 or above
