**WHAT TO EXPECT**

Physical Hard Modelling is a function responsible for the creation of Design products through the manufacture of bespoke interior and exterior components. As Planning Lead you will coordinate the workload for the department and liaise with the Modelling team to ensure projects are completed within the required timing and to the correct levels of quality.

The role will also include supporting CAD sign off during the development of the models

The successful applicant will also have supervisory responsibilities

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for planning projects that come through the Modelshop, using relevant software
- Interpretation of CAD Drawings/Designs/Sketches/Renderings.
- Liaise and work with other functions and processes within Physical Hard Modelling
- Utilise lean tools and working practices where necessary and to show an aptitude for developing processes and work well within motivated teams.
- Contribute to improvement of processes and procedures.
- Take responsibility for Health and Safety of self and others
- Ensure quality of own work is maintained at all times
- Raise concerns and ask questions to solve problems, when necessary, escalate issues through appropriate channels
- Adhere to company-wide and site specific policies.
- Undertake any other work as directed by the line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
- Work with Facility & Project leaders to ensure all models are completed on time and to the correct quality.
- Be accountable for team discipline & planning
- Support initial Design and Engineering meetings to establish route of manufacture.
- Support Problem resolution and help with coordinating/prioritising Team activities on the model and have a working knowledge of Model BoM.

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**
- Previous extensive experience within a Model Shop or Development Area.
- Knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- An excellent understanding of Hard Model creation processes.
- Problem solving skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and also on their own initiative.
- Supervisory skills and experience.
- Experience in leading a team of skilled model makers in a Design environment.
- CAD/Catia knowledge.
- Good knowledge of vehicle components.
- Good knowledge of engineering practises.
- Health and Safety processes.
