Payroll Administrator

We are seeking to appoint a passionate and reliable person to join the payroll team on a full-time basis within the HR Operations team at the University of Reading. Working as part of a busy team, the role includes a wide variety of different payroll and administrative duties. You will be responsible for administering and reconciling a section of the monthly University Payroll, which will include processing and updating employee records onto our integrated HR/Payroll database. You will have recent relevant experience of working in a payroll environment, coupled with good working knowledge of PAYE, NIC, and other statutory deductions.
You will have:
- Experience of working in a busy office environment covering all aspects of payroll
- The ability to organise and prioritise your own work
- Good communication skills
Knowledge of HR and Payroll databases and a good working Knowledge of Microsoft Office products e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook and Access
