Our client, one of the UK's most reliable and professional same day courier services based in Manchester, currently have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Field Sales Executive to join their dedicated team. As Field Sales Executive,you will promote the company and its services within confirmed sales territories through field sales and marketing, contributing to the growth and development of the company in new and existing areas within that depot's designated areas. You will be responsiblefor maximising revenue from your assigned customer accounts, you will do this by developing strong relationships with your customers and encouraging greater spend. You would be required to report into the office once a week for a sales meeting but asides fromthat you would be expected to plan your weeks accordingly and report in remotely where required.

**Role**:
As Field Sales Executive, you will report to the Operations Manager. You will promote the company and its services within confirmed sales territories, contributing to the growth and development of the company in new and existing areas within that depot'sdesignated areas. You will be responsible for maximising revenue from your assigned customer accounts, you will do this by developing strong relationships with your customers and encouraging greater spend.
**Responsibilities**:
- Operate as a lead point of contact for your assigned customer accounts
- Handle any customer issues and complaints. Escalating to management where necessary
- Input all quotes and bookings on the company's transport management system as comprehensively as possible including addresses, contacts and load details and ensuring any missing information is requested accordingly
- Record all consignment activity it the notes section within each booking
- Ensure all customer costs are correct in each consignment, matching costs quoted to the customer
- Liaise with the transport department to ensure new bookings are promptly covered
- Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding any loading or unloading issues to avoid unnecessary delays and additional charges
- Set up any new customers with full and correct details as well as making sure that they are affiliated to the correct depot, advising Operations Manager of any new customers once they have been set up
- Continually keep customer contact information up to date in SmartLM
- Action any notifications in SmartLM, approving uploaded POD's ensuring that they are an acceptable standard and flagging any unacceptable POD's or signatures
- Utilise every opportunity to communicate with customers via telephone to maintain and develop relationships
- Complete weekly client care calls assigned by Operations Manager to develop strong relationships and encourage greater spend. Reporting all contacts in the notes section of the customer
- Look to maximise revenue from your assigned customer accounts

- Ensure day to day operation is running smoothly, reporting any issues to Operations Manager once they have been resolved, only escalating where required
- Report to management and rest of team on your assigned customer accounts activity
- Complete quarterly performance appraisal with line manager
- Contribute to the growth and development of the Company in new and existing areas within that depot's designated areas.
- Update daily sales report shared within OneDrive
- Attend meetings with Sales Representative when required, document meeting minutes
