As a Hot Box Driver (HGV 2), your primary responsibility is to operate heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) equipped with hot box equipment, used in road maintenance and repair projects. Here's a brief job description:
**Job Title: Hot Box Driver (HGV 2)**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Driving and Operation**: Drive HGV 2 vehicles equipped with hot box equipment to designated work sites for road repair and maintenance projects.
- **Equipment Handling**: Operate the hot box equipment efficiently and safely, ensuring proper functioning throughout the operation.
- **Maintenance**: Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and hot box equipment, including inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs as needed.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating the vehicle and hot box equipment, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the work site.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with other team members, including supervisors, road maintenance crews, and traffic management personnel, to coordinate project tasks and ensure smooth operations.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including vehicle inspection reports, work logs, and any incidents or accidents that occur during operation.

**Requirements**:

- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license.
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
- Experience in operating hot box equipment preferred.
- Good understanding of road safety regulations and procedures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks as required.
- Flexibility to work variable hours and weekends as needed.
