F. Ball and Co. Ltd. is the UK’s market leading manufacturer of subfloor preparation products and adhesives for the contract flooring industry. From our manufacturing facility near Leek in Staffordshire our products are supplied via a network of wholesalers throughout the UK and into overseas markets worldwide.

In 2010, F. Ball introduced the Setcrete brand in order to supply a specialist range of flooring installation products into the builder’s merchant market, utilising expertise gained from the contract flooring industry. The Setcrete brand is now well established in the merchant market, and we have a fantastic opportunity for a Marketing Officer to join our team and support further growth of this business.

Reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager, this varied role will involve researching, planning and implementing strategic marketing plans, across multiple channels, in line with the overall business objectives.

**Role and responsibilities**:

- Brief and manage our strategic marketing partners to create and execute tactical promotional campaigns.
- Provide creative briefs for advertising campaigns and oversee the advertising schedule.
- Produce brand marketing collateral, including promotional literature, point of sale materials, branded merchandise, and digital assets.
- Manage the Setcrete website and social media channels by developing appropriate content to ensure they are kept up to date and relevant to our audience. Continually analyse performance data to optimise messaging and improve engagement.
- Organise photography and videography requirements for various marketing materials.
- Conduct market research, as required, to identify market trends and new opportunities.
- Plan and organise trade events and exhibitions in line with brand guidelines and within budget. Provide support at events when required, provide feedback and assist in following up leads.
- Monitor, analyse and report on marketing campaigns to evaluate their effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement of future campaigns.
- Maintain budgetary control for marketing activities.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects and general marketing requirements, as agreed with the marketing communications manager.

**Skills and personal qualities**:

- Demonstrable multi-channel marketing experience (minimum 3-5 years), ideally within a B2B environment.
- Marketing qualification at degree level or equivalent.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage project timelines.
- Effective communication and analytical skills are essential.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support marketing events and attend meetings (UK based). UK driving licence essential.
- Proficient in MS Office and social media management tools.
- Experience of Wordpress and Salesforce desirable but not essential.
- Self-motivated with a desire to further develop skills.
