Lab Assistant

The Laboratory Assistant will support a variety of routine testing on mining materials.
You will be expected to be adaptable/flexible to changing work assignments and manage time effectively and efficiently. You will be required to maintain safe working practices, ensure quality work and adhere to environmental procedures.
This position will report to the Lab Manager.
**The Role**
- Support wider technical team to deliver projects to a high standard
- Participate in daily mineral processing lab operations including sample preparation and testing
- Lab logistics and organisation.
- Work safely and maintain a clean work area.
- Other job duties as assigned by the management team
**Key Criteria**
- Basic math and proficiency with MS Excel
- Good record keeping with attention to detail and accuracy are critical
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
- Interest in training and learning new methods
- Must be self-motivated with a can-do attitude
**Advantageous**
- Laboratory environment experience
- Experience with mineral processing
- Knowledge of safety procedures including personal protection equipment (PPE)
- Previous forklift experience and/or license
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £20,000.00-£21,500.00 per year
