The Assistant Disability Advisor will join a friendly and supportive team to triage enquires, carry out initial advice and guidance to students as well as carry out administrative duties related to registration for student support.

**About you**

You will have some prior knowledge and experience of providing advice and guidance in an educational setting to disabled learners. You will also be a good team player with excellent customer service skills, highly effective communication skills and have a flexible attitude.

**Exciting work you will do**

You will work within a team of experienced Disability Advisors alongside the Disability Manager to remove barriers, promotes inclusive practice, and create reasonable adjustments to students’ learning programmes and university experience.

**The skills and experience you will need to be successful**

You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and have some experience of working with students/clients from a diverse background and a range of disabilities.

You will also have good administrative skills and experience of record keeping that can be applied to a busy disability & dyslexia service.

If you are student centred and methodical in record keeping and administrative duties, you will be ensuring students will receive their support in a timely manner.

**Details about the role**

This is a full-time permanent position. Hours of Work and Working Pattern: The basic working week will be 35 hours, worked from Monday to Friday; 9.00am to 5.00pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break each day.

Please note that the University is operating a hybrid working model which means a mix of working on site and from home, confirmation of days worked on campus are arranged with the line manager.
