Subcontractor Co-Ordinator

**Location: PORTSMOUTH**

**Role Description**
- Support and enforce the use of company process and be the main point of contact for department into the Compliance department, ensuring statutory requirements are recognised and covered off.
- Assisting in the delivery of all planned and reactive sub-contracted maintenance tasks using Concept (CAFM); KBS planning tools as required
- Evaluating quality and sufficiency of Sub-Contractor RAMS and undertaking local inductions and regular process confirmations, ensuring that this is also being carried out in accordance with KBS H&S policy
- Managing day to day administration and overseeing the works being carried out by the team and sub-contractors and carrying out contractor monitoring evaluations.
- Liaising with all customers, as required, before and during all work
- Ensuring that work order and customer completion dates are managed, ensuring KPI’s and SLA’s are achieved
- Working to ensure that operations and (O&M) requirements are being met by our vendors, if not, pursuing new vendors to fulfil our commitments
- Develops & demonstrates high levels of SHE behavior to sub-contractor management team through SHE improvements/positive promotion of safety awareness. Identify any shortfalls and adopt local practice to help overall SHE performance
- Uses technical expertise of assets and excellent problem-solving skills to guide team in establishing solutions to challenges faced. Liaise closely with engineering department to gain engineering guidance and acceptance to proposed course of action

Additional responsibilities (which may be called for)
- Drafting of supplier KPI’s for Supply chain to incorporate into framework agreement.
- Manage project warranty works
- Negotiate terms and costings with suppliers for smaller works on behalf of Supply Chain Department.
- Chairs weekly GE Power meeting on behalf of Supply Chain to iron out carrier shore supply issues.
- Compiled and maintained asset lists for Supply chain/CED for use on supplier agreements
- PO request approver of O&M KBS Sub Con works
- Direct point of contact in O&M for CED (including Head of Engineering /Chief Engineer/Gas AP/Compliance Lead/Deputy CE).

**Key Experience**:

- Working knowledge and experience across various trade environments
- Customer facing experience - from blue to white collar (manufacturing/site background)
- Health, Safety and Quality experience within a large site function
- Managing both people and contractors experience

**Desirable Experience**:

- Fully conversant with Control of Contractors
- SMSTS (Site Manager Safety Training Course) Certification would be highly advantageous
- Robust knowledge of the geographical layout of Portsmouth Naval Base and of the plant and equipment associated with the site
- NEBOSH General
- IOSH Managing Safely
