We are currently on the lookout for a Procurement Officer to join our procurement team, who are responsible for accelerating projects, removing operational risk, buying assets for the business, and optimizing our supply chain management to maximise business revenue.
**About the role**
As a Procurement Officer you will be responsible for the execution of the purchasing activities to deliver the right products and services for our markets for the essential functioning of the company. You will also build and manage strong relationships with internal stakeholders across different departments.
**What you’ll be doing**
- Manage purchasing operations including order processing, lead time negotiation, and production scheduling.
- Collect, verify and report purchasing data, implementing processes and KPIs.
- Maintain ERP system data integrity and implement formal purchasing systems.
- Track payments, recommend process improvements, and coordinate projects for automation.
- Standardize price lists and ensure governance according to policy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to review and negotiate contracts, maintaining an organized contract database.
- Monitor contract renewal dates, support Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and coordinate communication with suppliers.
- Reconcile procurement-related financial data and produce analysis reports for team use.
**What we are looking for**
- Proven experience in procurement administration, supplier contract management, and sourcing activities.
- CIPS certification a plus.
- Exposure to working with international suppliers is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
- Deadline driven.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in using procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
