The ICG Legal Department provides global legal coverage in relation to Citi's Institutional Client Group (ICG) business activities. These activities include corporate and institutional lending, investment banking, capital markets, treasury and trade solutions,private banking and markets and securities related products and services. The ICG Infrastructure and Cross Product Initiatives Legal team (ICPI Legal) has been recently established to partner alongside the specialist product advisory ICG Legal teams on crossproduct matters and to provide focused coverage to ICG's Risk and Controls Department. Amongst other things, the ICPI Legal team's focus is upon the design and implementation of various ICG-wide regulatory, control and governance driven initiatives and transformationprojects (including those arising from the Fed/OCC Consent Orders); ICG Legal infrastructure and legal project management; ICG cross product regulatory and thematic legal advice; ICG legal entity booking models; and ICG Legal technology and electronic solutions.
The ICG Global Risk and Control Legal sub-team within ICPI Legal: (1) provides advice, counsel and other legal support to ICG's Risk and Control Department and to other ICG Legal and functional colleagues in relation to their risk management activity (includingin connection with Citi's risk and controls transformation); (2) will take the lead for ICG Legal on Fed/OCC Consent Order related activities; and (3) is responsible for designing, developing and enhancing aspects of ICG Legal's cross-product risk & controlinfrastructure. This includes advice, counsel and support connected with ICG's existing operations and requirements as well as to ongoing and forthcoming transformatory programs, both from an ICG (business) and an ICG Legal perspective, including Consent Orderrelated. The team's ICG Legal infrastructure focus will take into account systematic activities which have relevance on a cross product basis.
The role holder will work provide legal coverage in relation to ICG 'risk and control' related initiatives and activities. This includes collaborating with and providing counsel to the ICG in-business Risk & Control Department and individual ICG business areas,as well as second line and other functional colleagues. In that capacity, this role holder will be expected to support a variety of wide-ranging and sometimes high-profile, global risk and control related initiatives as well providing counsel in relation tocritical ongoing control processes. Examples may include involvement with the development and operation of 'legal entity lens' controls, the development, review and operation of in-business risk management frameworks encompassing a full range of risk types(e.g. credit, price, strategic, reputational, etc), incident management and escalation, and policy infrastructure.
Working with external counsel and internal colleagues, the role holder will also be expected support execution of key implementation activities in relation to Citi's ongoing risk & control transformation work in ICG, including in connection with the Fed/OCCConsent Orders

Responsibilities are expected to evolve over time as Citi continues to enhance its risk & control infrastructure, but initial responsibilities are expected to include:

- Providing counsel and other support to the ICG Risk and Control Department, acting as a legal advisor;
- Support implementation of Citi's response to the Fed/OCC Consent Orders and related transformation efforts across ICG, ICG Legal and their associated independent risk management and support function partners, acting in close collaboration with the TransformationCentral Legal Team and the CAO Office among others;
- Contributing to ICG Legal's support of and involvement in various ICG and ICG Legal risk & control initiatives, committees, and governance processes;
- Providing training and education for ICG Legal management and product lawyers on risk & control management and related topics.

**Requirements** - Qualification to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction
- Attorney admitted to practice in in a relevant jurisdiction, or another a common law jurisdiction is preferred.
- Familiarity with institutional banking, markets and finance businesses, products and structures
- Experience developing new teams and comfort with dynamic, changing environments
- Working knowledge of risk & control issues arising in large financial institutions Experience working in a major bank and/or in a law firm preferred
