This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Research and Development Delivery team at Birmingham Women's Hospital. The Research Practitioner post will work closely with the Principle Investigators, Project Manager, clinical teams and Research and Development in the set up of the Generation study (Newborn Genomes Programme). The trial will be on the R&D Midwifery research portfolio, you will be expected work independently and as part of a team in the co-ordination, delivery and development of the clinical research project at Birmingham Women’s Hospital.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day activities, assessing and contributing to the care pathways for patients participating in the study. This will involve the daily screening, recruitment, registering blood samples, monitoring of trial patients, and the collection and documentation of accurate data. You will develop and utilise a working knowledge of and compliance with local, national and international research regulations.

This role is an autonomous role to work to support delivery of research. This will involve working across various departments and working with a multitude of other healthcare professionals to deliver a high standard of research. There is scope to support other specialties where necessary and where capacity allows.
