The position

By joining our team in Exploration & Production International you will have the opportunity to:
Work as a Petrophysicist as a core member of our growing U.K. team. You will report into the subsurface organisation which is responsible for the efficient development of a broad energy portfolio which includes our operated and none operated oil and gas asset base, bringing forward regional value capture opportunities, and helping grow our renewables and low carbon solutions businesses.

A near-term example of a task that you might be involved in is the planning and execution of wells for the Rosebank and Mariner operated assets. As a Petrophysicist responsible for this task you will need to;
- Quantify and characterise reservoir properties and uncertainties, working in a multidisciplinary, integrated team to build static and dynamic models.
- Enable safe and efficient operations, production and injection optimization and reservoir management.
- Contribute to the well planning process, including the design and optimisation of data acquisition plans.
- Perform quality control (QC) of the acquired data.
- Perform target identification, well planning and optimization of development wells.
- Participate in cross organizational and cross discipline activities.
- Participate and share in license meetings with external stakeholders including partners and authorities.
- Interface with and influence the drilling and wells organisation to drive the assets towards high value solutions.

- A Master's degree or PhD in a relevant subsurface discipline.

- Experience within the following topics is an advantage;- Operations within deep-water harsh environments
- Heavy oil experience
- Experience with ultra-deep reading azimuthal resistivity tools to assist in geosteering
- Proficiency within Geolog petrophysical software
