This is a very exciting opportunity to provide leadership in mental health services for adults in the NHS Grampian area_._ This post spans the three Health and Social Care Partnerships (HSCP’s) in Grampian (Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray), working with and providing professional leadership for the current HSCP Lead AMH Consultant Psychologists.

This role includes professional responsibility for AMH secondary care services (including the Tier 4 In-patient service), Primary Care Psychological Therapies Services, cCBT and the Staff Wellbeing Service.

These services are a mix of long established and recently created teams with a staffing of more than 75 wte, which includes Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, CAAPs, CBT Therapists, EPPs, Wellbeing Workers, as well as trainees from the 3 NES training programmes.

Some key aspects of this role are to:

- Take a lead role in the co-ordination and development of AMH Services, including contributing to local, regional, and national strategic and policy-related discussions.
- Provide leadership in the robust evaluation of the services, design and delivery of audit, quality improvement and research projects.
- Be professionally responsible for Psychology staff within these services including all aspects of governance such as clinical and professional supervision, recruitment, professional appraisal, and the identification of CPD needs.
- Provide a high-quality clinical service including consultation, support, advice, and supervision to MDT colleagues involved in the care of the people using AMH services.
