Our ambition is to transform the End-to-End experience and journey for our policyholders, intermediaries, internal users and other parties, through a combination of modernising core systems, data-led digital asset development and integrations (internal and external). This opportunity will also involve close collaboration with international stakeholders, within Allianz Group as well as wider operating entities.

We have an exciting opportunity to lead the Transformation Programme Management Office function; shaping, establishing and delivering first-class PMO outcomes both locally into the UK Transformation Programme, and also into Group.

As the PMO Lead you will own all PMO activities including their delivery, driving their adherence and ensuring ongoing improvements are achieved. This will be executed working collaboratively with the rest of the TMO, the broader UK Programme team and global teams in helping to deliver outstanding business value from the UK Transformation Programme.

The primary focus of the role will be to own and deliver PMO activities across the following areas:

- Governance
- Programme Methodology
- Dependency Risk and Issue Management
- Programme Reporting
- Resource Tracking and Management
- Resource Optimisation

Key accountabilities:

- Ensuring adherence by stakeholders for all PMO activities and processes.
- Proactively engaging stakeholders across the Programme on points of feedback and making proactive changes to PMO processes and materials, including measuring the success of the changes to ensure the right outcomes are being achieved.
- Working in close collaboration with the Programme Planning Lead to gain a full understanding of the overall Transformation plan and how this impacts the PMO activities and processes.
- Awareness of Senior level strategic direction for the Programme in order to prepare PMO material fit for purpose to align to the latest position, and ensure consistent messaging to all stakeholder groups is provided.
- Team management for other team members in the PMO and wider TMO, particularly to aid personal and team achievement and ongoing development.

Technical skills:

- Strong work planning and team capacity management.
- Influencing and negotiation skills, with ability to critically challenge in a constructive way.
- Flexibility and adaptability to change, including willingness to adapt approach based on priorities arising.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
- Proficient in Project Management & Office tools such as MS Office Suite, MS Project or Planview, with the ability to prepare materials / presentations for senior audiences
- Agile tooling, Jira and / or Confluence
- Governance
- Programme Methodology
- Dependency risk and issue management
- Programme reporting
- Resource tracking and management
- Resource optimisation

Experience:

- Previous experience of working on large scale Change / Transformation Programmes, ideally across multiple geographies (preferred)
- Experience of working in an Agile structure and delivering on time critical activities
- Experience of driving continuous improvement

Qualifications:

- Any professional PPM qualifications would be preferable but not essential
- Any APM qualification would be preferable but not essential.

The expectation of the business is high, and this will be a busy role, however, this is a great opportunity to showcase your expertise, you'll be working with experts in their fields, liaising with stakeholders in the UK and globally.

The role can be based anywhere in the UK, however, there is a requirement to work from the London office for at least 4d x per month, and also a requirement to travel to other UK offices to attend meetings etc when required.
