Can you nurture and form strong relationships with children and young people by drawing on your own life skills and experience?

Cornerstone Children’s Homes are looking for Waking Night Residential Child Care Workers in the Stockport areas. We are an established children's service with an excellent reputation for providing high-quality therapeutic care to males aged between 10 and 17 years old with emotional behavioral difficulties.

**Position**:
Permanent - full time

Hours: On average 40 hours per week - 21:30pm - 07:30am

Days of work: Monday - Sunday. To work the rota as required

**Job role**:

- To work with vulnerable, challenging young people by supporting them practically and emotionally and to help them work towards agreed plans for their future
- To be a positive role model, to include high standards of personal presentation for young people
- To encourage young people to develop meaningful relationships and attachments in line with their individual care plan
- To complete detailed records, write reports and assist with the general upkeep of the home.

**Residential Care Worker**:

- To hold, or be willing to work towards, a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare / NVQ in Children and Young Peoples Workforce
- Ability to work with young people from all backgrounds
- Ability to cope with and respond to challenging behaviour in a constructive way
- Good communication skills
- Able to work within a team
- Driving licence is preferred
- **Must be at least 23 years old**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.51-£11.95 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
