**A bit about the role**:
We are looking for Casual Community Short Breaks Workers to join our dedicated and supportive team within Our Space Centre supporting the Stoke Aiming High project. You will work across Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire and help us maintain and provide excellent support to Children and young people aged 5 - 18.

Stoke Aiming High offers a range of activities and support to local families in Stoke-On-Trent. Our team have proven experience in providing Short Break services, support, information, and professional advice for young people with disabilities.

**How you'll help to create brighter futures**.
- Working with young people to deliver fun and exciting activities, including social meals, Sports, music and media activities and loads more.
- Engaging with young people in group activities.
- Delivering sessions that explore themes, such as relationships, friendships, keeping safe and many other topics in an age and stage appropriate way.
- Retaining records, using various IT systems.
- Working effectively as part of a small team, liaising with colleagues to deliver engaging youth group delivery for young people with a learning disability.

Are you resilient and have a positive approach to change and challenge? We are looking for someone with a ‘can do' attitude to join our team. Ideally you will have:

- A positive approach, providing a fun environment for all the children in our care.
- Experience of working with young people aged 5-18 with learning disabilities would be an advantage but not essential.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding practices.
- Creative, positive, and proactive approach towards work.
- Confidence to conduct 1-2-1 sessions and group work that support children and young people's emotional health and wellbeing.
- To be able to work and travel across the locations of Cannock, Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent.
