Key Responsibilities:
1. To recognise the Rights of the Child (UN Convention)

2. To recognise the parents/guardians as primary carer of the child, working together in partnership to support the child's needs. Providing feedback and liaising with the school.

3. Ensuring the safety and well being of the children and service users through maintaining equipment and undertaking first line child protection measurers

4. Providing an interesting and appropriate 'child led' activities programme. Using GIRFEC framework and SHANARRI to support and document each child's individual needs and learning

5. Supporting other team members in their role

6. Supporting co-workers in an effort to create a calm and safe environment for everyone

7. Assisting in maintaining records such as, but not limited to, registers, accident books, the children's development plans

- The main duties and responsibilities of the postholder are indicated below, other duties of an appropriate nature and level will also be required_

1. Assist in the provision of age appropriate play opportunities for the children and set up of the playroom

2. Checking the daily register/diary for changes prior to school collections

3. Preparing a healthy snack for the children adhering to health and safety regulations. All dietary needs, cultural needs, medical needs and allergies must be met to ensure every child gets a snack

4. Checking, cleaning and maintaining the play environment and equipment in line with health and safety regulations, standards and schedules.

6. Carry out risk assessments on new activities

7. Attend/ facilitate monthly staff meetings

8. Be aware of child protection policies and procedures
- **Qualifications**_
- Educated to SCQF level 7, which includes HNC or Advanced Higher e.g., HNC Childhood Practice or SVQ3 Playwork
- Have experience working with children of different age groups
- Good communication skills and basic IT skills
- Gained certificates in Manual Handling and First Aid
- SSSC Registered (or willing to register within 6 months

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £9.50-£10.00 per hour
