**Senior Logistics Coordinator**

**Salary c. £28,000 - £30,000 + Benefits**

**The Business**

Today Team massively punches above its weight in the same-day and time-sensitive Courier Delivery sector. This year has been a story of un-paralleled growth driven not by active sales and marketing but simply because our customers know we are amazing at what we do and are happy to pass the word about us. This means we are really needing to bring in new people to help us to continue to deliver. The Logistics Coordinator role is key to our continued growth.

To date our success has come through exceeding our customers’ expectations with a record of delivering on time and as promised, well over 99% of times in the past 12 months alone. This has been achieved largely because of the quality and professionalism of our outstanding and growing Logistics Team and we are looking for someone who can fit right in with this excellent group.

The role is to use your initiative and professionalism to deal directly with our customers, to understand their needs and to ensure that their expectations are exceeded. The role reports into the Logistics Team Leader. The Logistics Team effectively manage ‘Speed Dating’ between our Customers and our Couriers, one half bringing the jobs in, the other half offering the jobs out. It’s beautiful in its simplicity but ensuring service excellence is the real challenge, which is why we are so successful.

**Please note that this is not a warehouse role**

**The Person**
- You will almost certainly have a Logistics background or will have come from a role where managing similar works processes are a core part of the job.
- You will be ambitious.
- You will have great attention to detail.
- You will be able to place yourself in the shoes of the Customer and continually ask the question “What would I want expect if I needed an urgent item collecting or delivering?” and ensure their expectations are met in full.
- You will be able to think laterally to be able to solve unplanned issues as they arrive.
- Customers will see you as the Swan on the surface, not the frantic legs beneath the water.
- You will be comfortable working to a set of non-negotiable Values where the Customer’s needs are absolute.
- You will appreciate working in a strong team environment where you are supported, developed and valued.
- We use IT stuff and would expect you to be able to as well.
