Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The Import Merchandiser will play a pivotal role in managing importing and merchandising products to ensure seamless operations and maximise profitability. This role is critical to ensuring that products move efficiently from production to our warehouses while maintaining cost control, and timeliness. The Logistics Coordinator will work closely with production teams, suppliers, and transportation providers to manage all aspects of logistics and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Coordination
- Arrange international shipments, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and customs requirements.
- Select and manage freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party logistics providers.
- Optimise transportation routes and methods to achieve cost savings and efficiency.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Track and analyse key logistics metrics, including cost, transit time, and delivery accuracy.
- Generate reports to provide insights and recommendations for process improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in fashion logistics.
Team and Supplier Collaboration
- Work closely with design, production, merchandising, and sales teams to align logistics plans with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with supplier, ensuring clear communication and mutual understanding of expectations.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in import merchandising, procurement, or a similar role is essential. Experience importing to EU and US is essential. Experience in retail, fashion, or consumer goods is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and tools.
- Solid understanding of international trade regulations, HS and HTS Codes, import/export procedures, and logistics.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
