**Cover Supervisor - North London - ASAP Start**

This North London Secondary School are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cover Supervisor to join their team. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting students in the absence of their regular teachers. Your role will involve mentoring and educating students, ensuring their safety and well-being, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

This is a full time post, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm.

The school is a successful Secondary welcoming pupils from Year 7 to Year 11. The school currently has 950 students on roll and over 100 teaching and support staff. The school offer all staff the opportunity to work in an outstanding school environment with motivated students who are keen to learn. The school has first class facilities with specialist teaching spaces for sports.

**About the role**:
**Duties**:

- Supervise students in the absence of their regular teachers
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students engage in learning activities
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Provide support and guidance to students, including those with special educational needs
- Manage student behavior and implement appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning
- Assist with administrative tasks as required

Key Requirements for the Cover Supervisor role:

- Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor in a Secondary School
- Good knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to cover a wide range of lessons
- Confidence to manage a class of mixed ability pupils
- Ability to keep students focused and on task
- Ability to provide constructive feedback that encourages pupil’s positive self-esteem
- Dedication to establishing positive relationships with pupils.
- The ability to handle complex and sensitive issues with empathy and understanding.
