**Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum**
Are you an experienced Commercial Account Handler looking for an exciting opportunity to join a thriving insurance brokerage? If so, we want to hear from you Due to growth, our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Commercial Account Handler to join their team.
Our client is a well-established insurance brokerage with a team of 27 dedicated professionals. Their Account Handler team, consisting of 10 members, plays a pivotal role in providing exceptional insurance solutions and service to their clients. With a commitment to ethical business practices and compliance with industry standards, they are committed to delivering the best insurance solutions in the market.
**Position Overview**:
As a Commercial Account Handler, you will be at the forefront of client relationships, ensuring their insurance needs are met with precision and care. Your role will be 100% office-based, supporting clients, collaborating with underwriters, and contributing to the growth of our client's business.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and requests. Understand clients' insurance needs and provide tailored advice and solutions.
Policy Management: Assist clients with policy inquiries, changes, and renewals. Ensure accuracy in policy documentation, endorsements, and certificates of insurance. Collaborate with underwriters to negotiate and secure the best coverage terms for clients.
Risk Assessment and Analysis: Analyse clients' risk profiles and insurance needs to identify gaps and opportunities for coverage improvement. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes.
Policy Compliance: Ensure clients' insurance policies comply with industry regulations and contractual obligations. Keep clients informed about changes in regulations and their implications.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and organized electronic client files and documentation. Prepare and deliver regular reports to clients on their insurance portfolios.
New Business Development: Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling insurance products. Collaborate with colleagues to support business growth.
Insurance Knowledge and Training: Stay updated on insurance products, coverage options, and industry best practices. Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Customer Service Excellence: Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. Ensure client satisfaction and retention through attentive service.
Quality Assurance: Conduct "peer" quality checks on documentation and files, as required by the business, to minimize errors and ensure accuracy. Implement continuous improvement measures to enhance efficiency.
Other Duties: Undertake other duties as appropriate and as requested by the line manager, as the needs of the business evolve.
**Experience & Qualifications**:
- At least 2 - 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles, and industry regulations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in policy management and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Acturis insurance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A commitment to ethical business practices and compliance with industry standards.
