**The Role**

By joining our communications apprenticeship programme you will embark on an exciting journey that provides the perfect opportunity to use your passion for music and combine this with either building on existing experience or beginning a career in music, communications and media.

Our structured 12-month apprenticeship programme combines all these aspects with studying towards your level 4 PR and communications assistant apprenticeship.

**What you get whilst on this programme**:

- A fully funded Level 4 PR and Communications Apprenticeship studying in partnership with the Cambridge Marketing College, enhanced by on-the-job vocational training
- 20% of work hours spent in training
- A part time **12-month fixed term role**, salaried at **£20,319 FTE (£13,546 basic salary for 25 hours)**:

- A structured programme of targeted training and development activities, designed to complement what you will learn through your studies and whilst working

**What we're looking for**:
One of the best things about an apprenticeship with us is that you don’t need to have previous experience in working in communications. However, we like you to share our passion for it and you will have some experience in working with Music Technology and will be able to read music.

In this exciting and varied role, you’ll enjoy working proactively with the Director of Music and have a desire to develop yourself through involvement in our wider choral and communications programme.
- Minimum **qualifications required**: A Level or equivalent, however Music at a tertiary level is highly desirable. GCSE at level 7 or above in English and Maths.
- **Passion** - Your positivity and flare will help you build fantastic relationships with others within the College community.
- **Engaging creative writing**, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- **Self-Motivated** - You’ll demonstrate a strong work ethic and ability to work on your own initiative, both to succeed in your role, complete college assignments and develop new skills.
- **Organisation** - Your timekeeping, attention to detail and organisational skills will help you prioritise your workload, meet deadlines and coordinate the practical work and study elements of your programme.
- **Inquisitive** - You’ll be eager to develop your understanding of our services and think creatively to solve problems as they arise.
- **Excellent IT skills** (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and willingness to learn the use of other software packages.
- A commitment to complete your **12-month Level 4 PR & Communications Assistant apprenticeship course** whilst working and the drive to complete your final assessment.
