**JOB SUMMARY**:
**JOB SIZE**:
Papa John’s UK is one of Papa John’s International’s largest markets with 80 franchise partners and 500+ stores, growing at 30+ stores per annum. The Operations Commercial Finance Manager will be responsible for providing analytical insights for both the UK Operations & Leadership teams to improve the commercial performance of corporate and franchise owned stores.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **Identifies opportunities across the UK estate by providing actionable insights **that aids the reduction of risk, heightens customer experience and unlocks sales and profit growth for the brand. Supports operations teams with insights that drives both strategic and tactical changes to enable the delivery of world class operations.
- **Consults and partners with Operations Leadership to develop annual business plans that unlocks sales growth, supercharges profitability, and delivers store unit growth. **Supports in executing the business plan by organising and providing data led insights, reporting, and expertise that enables the delivery of operational KPI’s, improves real estate decision making, influences franchisee strategy, and supports the marketing x ops strategy.
- **Assists in the performance evaluation of both corporate and franchise portfolios**, identifying correlations between data points in order to be a catalyst of performance improvement by communicating results as part of the leadership team and business review processes.
- **Ensures the success of new store openings** by tracking the performance of NSO’s and responding to weekly new store sales trends by taking appropriate action to ensure new store openings exceed performance levels.
- **Proactively partners with the Papa John’s Leadership Team & Head Office Functions** to improve commercial performance and ensuring there is a collaborative partnership with the brand to ensure decision making supports sustainable performance and growth.
- **Provides timely, clear and informative communication and feedback to the Operations team** and other company personnel as necessary on matters which helps to drive the improvement in franchisees operations, brands performance, development potential and financial health. Ensures that they stay up to date and relevant in respect to existing state of affairs and financials for each franchise partner, and with brand priorities to ensure their impact is continually is relevant regarding all areas of the business.

**JOB FUNCTIONS & COMPETENCIES**:
**Functions**
- Conduct analysis of correlative KPI’s (including, but not exclusively HR, compliance, customer and commercial data points) to create actionable insights that supports commercial and operational decision-making processes.
- Create and maintain accurate and timely operational reports and analysis to help optimise operational efficiency, performance improvements and profitability.
- Partner with the operations team to analyse costs, identify areas for cost optimisation, and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, and communicate insights to relevant stakeholders within the organisation.
- Perform variance analysis and provide explanations for deviations to operating plans, or performance variations within the store/franchise portfolio.
- Support the development and evaluation of performance reviews, business cases, investment proposals for operational teams.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic business review presentations and reports for senior management and key stakeholders, providing overviews on both estate and store performance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact business performance and operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance financial controls.
- Utilise data points to identify top and tail performance that supports in celebrating systems successes and identifying low hanging fruit that drives growth.
- Support in communicating to operating partners regarding operational performance, and opportunities for them to drive growth as part of franchise advisory councils and franchise business reviews.
