The Cardiology Department at the Friarage Hospital is a small, friendly department that is part of the South Tees NHS Trust. We have strong links with the Cardiac Investigations Unit at The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, which is a large tertiary centre.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join our team to support the Cardiac Physiologists and Cardiology clinics within the Cardiology Department. The role is split between both clinical and administrative duties.
Clinically you will assist patients within the Cardiology Department by transferring them to and from the unit, acting in a chaperone capacity and helping to maintain an efficient, professional and patient centered service. You will also be required to perform and maintain the ECG recording service for both in and outpatients throughout Trust and supporting Cardiology Clinics.
Your administrative role will be to provide high quality clerical support to the teams to ensure the smooth running of the service for both patients and colleagues alike. This will include reception duties, booking outpatient appointments and ensuring hospital notes and test results are prepared for Cardiology outpatient clinics and telephone enquiries.
The job is based in The Friarage Hospital, Northallerton but the post holder may be required to operate on other sites from time to time.
Informal discussions and visits to the department are encouraged. Please contact Sarah Walker on 01609 764514.
