**Salary**: £11.44 per hour

As one of Hampshire’s leading Mental Health Charities, we are pleased to announce an exciting new project for us Andover Mind and Valley Leisure Ltd has been awarded funding to deliver an active health project in Andover between March 2024 and January 2025.

We have based our project on the ‘Be Active’ strand of the 5-ways to Wellbeing and we will be supporting people with a diagnosed mental illness (for example depression or anxiety) to be more active to help them manage and improve their health and wellbeing.

Your role will be to empower and enable people to move more and feel better through existing or new groups and courses in their local communities to protect, prevent and defend against mental and physical ill-health.

Using your ability to share your own personal journey of recovery, you will establish a supportive and respectful relationship with service users who sign up for the Move More project.

Working alongside exercise professionals employed by Valley Leisure Ltd, you will co-facilitate physical activity groups, sharing coping, self-help and self-management techniques with your service users.

Using your interest in your own physical health, you will co-facilitate and deliver structured workshops and training, and to assist with the organisation of these activities.
