We change attitudes by improving public understanding of autism and the difficulties many autistic people face. We also work closely with businesses, local authorities and government to help them provide more autism-friendly spaces, deliver better services and improve laws.

We have come a long way but it is not good enough. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for people on the spectrum. With your help, we can make it happen.

**Our Family Support Services**

We have an exciting opportunity to join our existing Surrey Family Support team to provide early intervention services for young people in the county, whether or not they have a diagnosis.

We work directly with young people aged 11-16 years to provide practical and emotional support to enable the development of their knowledge and understanding. Please access the job description for more information.

We do this by;
- Providing 1:1 face to face sessions for young people.
- Providing opportunities to develop their skills in an autism friendly and supportive environment.
- Please note that this service will work primarily with the young person themselves.

**Who we are looking for**:
To be a successful member of our team you must have:

- Experience of working with young people on the autism spectrum within a professional capacity.
- Ability to work in a person-centred way adapting your skills to the needs of the young person you will support.
- Be independent, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Have a good understanding of Safeguarding issues and responsibilities within your professional capacity.

Applications for this job are sought from anyone who is suitably qualified and experienced for the role but particularly welcome from those with a diagnosis of autism or Asperger syndrome.
