**Salary: £36,000 - £30,000**

RG Freight Recruitment are working on behalf of an independent forwarder to recruit a **Customs Coordinator **to join their growing team in Birmingham.

This client has been operating for over 30 years and have grow from ma small freight forwarder into one of the leading names in their sector with a number of offices across the UK.

With an emphasis on FCL, LCL and out of gauge ocean freight, they also provide air and road services as well as customs clearances. Underpinning all of this, is a keen belief in providing the absolute best customer experience possible.

**Key duties and responsibilities**
- Preparing customs entries on imports and exports ensuring a high level of accuracy and full compliance using CDS/CHIEF systems
- Processing docs such as COO,EUR1 on ICERT
- Ensuring a screening process takes place to review client documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists.
- Processing refunds via HMRC
- Guaranteeing the import/export of finished products and components, ensuring the process is cost-effective and efficient.
- Taking decisive action with the organisation of the flows of your activity.
- Checking customs authorisation documentation
- Ensuring compliance with international transport regulations and customs procedures.
- Coordinate international transport operations.

**The Person**
- Experience of of customs clearances
- Sound knowledge of customs data legislation.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational skills and be proactive.
- The desire to learn and progress.
- The ability to work in a team/good teamwork
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good IT skills including Excel.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
