**Hours**: 37 -Monday to Sunday (days and times may vary due to service needs).

We are currently looking for a Managing Ranger to join our team at the Gnoll Country Park, set within 200 acres of woodland and open spaces, the Gnoll Park is renowned for its picturesque beauty. With an exciting ‘Levelling Up’ funded major project to transform the park this is an exciting time to be joining the team.
The main duties of the post include management of the day-to-day operation of the Gnoll Country Park and Café, including staffing levels, food hygiene and stock control. To assist in the controlling and management of all administrative and financial functions relating to the operation of all facilities including the maintenance and development of the outdoor areas, preparation of the annual estimates and to ensure that all services are managed within budget.
The postholder will play a significant role in delivering the major transformation of the park through the Levelling Up funded project.
To organise and ensure the smooth running of a programme of indoor and outdoor events to include all aspects of event management from health and Safety planning to practical hands on management.
To assist in the organisation and ensure the smooth running of third party organised indoor and outdoor events such as concerts, cycling events, charity fun runs, walks and fun days, film company bookings, to include being present on site during major events.
To assist with the effective promotion and marketing of events and the Park as a whole.
This post requires unsocial working hours to include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
You will have experience working in a busy, public service environment, of Managing a team within a diverse area of work and a experience of planning and organising indoor and outdoor events.
The post also requires someone with the experience of advertising and promoting events via print, press, radio and social media and Financial management experience including production of budgets and income and expenditure accounts.
A Full Driving Licence is required.
