Worcester, United Kingdom Gray Healthcare Ltd Full time

Job Introduction
**Night Owls Required**

We are seeking an experienced support worker who is patient and adaptable, to provide support to the changing needs and preferences to a young man on a 2:1 basis on waking nights. They have a diagnosis of Autism, Learning Disabilities and Epilepsy.

Waking Night shift involves monitoring their safety and welfare throughout the night. Most nights they are often in bed asleep when you arrive, and they will sleep straight through. Due to their sensory needs keeping a peaceful environment is vital. In addition to this all staff must ensure that all infection control policies and procedures are followed by maintaining cleaning duties.

You must have experience of:

- Providing encouragement to a person with complex health needs and Learning Disabilities.
- Behaviours that may be perceived as concerning within the UK

Gray Healthcare are different to most care providers in that that **we are clinically informed** this** **means that there is a team of clinicians including nurses, occupational therapists, and Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) specialists involved in developing the care and approach for each person that we support.

This provides more direction to the support teams; it is an inclusive approach that is proven to work to improve the lives and outcomes of the people that we support.

**Training**

We do not expect you to know everything when you join Gray Healthcare

We provide an initial week of training which is a combination of online training (company induction, systems, and meds.) Followed by in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK which is a PBS approach to least restrictive practice, this is a therapeutic and proven alternative to restraint dominate approaches. You will then complete the person-centred training, specific to the person that you are supporting. This could be PBS, epilepsy, ligature etc. and finally, you will complete shadow shifts.

Training continues throughout your time with Gray Healthcare, and we encourage you to develop and grow your career with us.

**Hours**
