**JOB DESCRIPTION**: Sales Manager - Engineering Solutions

This is a rare opportunity to join, an established UK subsidiary of a €250m+ engineering business who are looking to elevate their UK offering with the appointment of an engineering biased, 'hands on' Sales Manager.

Entering the business, your primary focuses will be to strengthen existing client relations, identify and win new business, increase the UK sales turnover, and profit margins whilst being an active and valued member within a small team.

You will have the full support, guidance and 1-2-1 training from the UK General Manager & Director. His knowledge and experience will be instrumental in enabling you to be successful and create an effective sales strategy to target and drive business growth(both in market share and turnover).

In addition, you will actively collaborate with Group colleagues, providing you with the full autonomy to explore new market infiltration, diversifying and complementing our current markets such as Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Oil and Gas.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**: Sales Manager - Engineering Solutions
- Consolidate and maximise the potential of the company's existing customer base.
- Establish new business within all engineering sectors with particular but not exclusive emphasis on the automotive, construction equipment and oil and gas industries.
- Promote within the UK the processes, services and products of the company and its parent group including surface treatments, mechanical components and proprietary chemical processes and associated equipment.
- Establish good relationships with technical and purchasing departments at major manufacturing companies across all markets.
- Frequently visit all existing and potential clients to enable maximisation of commercial opportunities for the company.
- Secure requests for quotation and collaborate with colleagues both in the UK and Group to offer an appropriate technical and cost effective response and to follow to conclusion.
- Enable and manage consultations between clients and Group technical and R&D colleagues to establish optimum technical solutions.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION: **Sales Manager - Engineering Solutions

In addition:

- Demonstrating a solid sales background of the full 360 sales cycle to identify and win business.
- Any knowledge of Metallurgy would be of great interest although not essential
- Having the technical and commercial acumen to understand business requirements and align a solution utilising our full range of services.
- Strong stakeholder management, someone who is an effective communicator able to build credibility and trust whilst negotiating on business proposals and services.
- Being commercially astute, with the ability to create effective business growth strategies.
- Displaying a strong eye for detail, able to problem solve through quickly assessing the problem, devising, and implementing remedial or preventive measures.
- Having strong time management and prioritisation skills.
- Being an active team player, someone who can operate effectively both individual and collectively.
- Full UK driving licence, with the flexibility of UK travel as and when required.
