Owing to their continued success in tenders and frameworks, Contract Scotland have an opportunity to join a well-respected civil engineering contractor as the Head of Wholesale Metering working on the Scottish Water Framework.

Our client is a family owned business who have an established and demonstratable background in delivering works to a high standard and their continued level of service to the wider construction industry has seen them go from strength to strength. Operating primarily as a main contractor specialising in utilities, the business still has a “family feel” to it and holds the values and principles of a traditional organisation.

Recently they have been successful in new frameworks and as such are looking to expand their team. As the Head of Wholesale Metering you will lead an experienced team on the Scottish Water framework to support the client to achieve their objective whilst promoting health and safety and maintaining profits.

**As a Head of Wholesale Metering you will be responsible for**:

- Develop innovative strategies to ensure commercial and operational efficiency.
- Manage and deliver the Wholesale Plan through managing all contract procedures and facilitating in the effective delivery of strategic and operational goals.
- Ensure best use of resources and systems through implementing procedures and processes.
- Review, develop and improve work practices.
- Maintain and build excellent working relationships.
- Managing the commercial team.
- Develop and implement the commercial strategy.
- Develop budgets, cost control and identify risks.
- Negotiation, agreement and administration of contracts.
- Subcontract procurement and supply chain management.
- Work and support senior management team to build and strengthen their knowledge.
- Sole responsibility for Profit and Loss of wholesale performance, to ensure a healthy return on investment.

**Applicants must have proven track record of success in a leadership role, specifically in creating a high-performance culture, within the utilities or water sector is essential, along with the following**:

- Due to the nature of the project, previous experience working in Utilities or on the Scottish Water frameworks is essential.
- Experience of building and maintaining good working relationships.
- Experience developing long term proofing strategies whilst delivering on time and within budget.
- Experience of customer satisfaction, increasing profitability and outperforming strategic objectives.
- Full UK drivers license.
