**Job overview**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to join the surgical specialities within the Division to support the delivery of the elective recovery programme, helping to ensure patients receive their treatment as quickly as possible. The role will work closely with the operational teams within the surgical specialities and also colleagues in the independent sector organisations to monitor and track patient pathways from referral to completion of their treatment.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
We are looking an for individual who can work independently and as part of a team, with good interpersonal and communication skills. The post holder will be expected to ensure the provision of accurate and high quality information to support the tracking of patient pathways and treatments.

Post holders will be required to work across all hospital sites/home when required to support service delivery.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**:

- Able to demonstrate good general standard of education
- Literate and Numerate
- English Language and Maths pass GCSE

**Desirable**:

- NVQ 2 Admin

**Experience**:
**Essential**:

- Demonstrate a good understanding of patient confidentiality
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office

**Desirable**:

- Previous NHS experience in a relevant role.
- Relevant experience to demonstrate understandings of the key functions of similar administrative role in health care.
- Working knowledge of Oceano
- Working Knowledge of Somerset Cancer Register
