Create schemes of work with lesson plans and learning activities for students based on national, local and college standards in computer science and BETEC ICT education and research.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging instruction in the form of discussion, direct teaching, demonstrations and independent practice using a variety of proven methods.
- Evaluate student performance on tasks established by the standards using different methods such as observation, performance-based tasks or other standard test practices.
- Mark work according to Jami’ah policy, giving appropriate feedback including at parent consultations and maintaining records of students' progress and development
- Maintain a safe, orderly and supportive classroom by modelling expected behaviour and standards, promoting positive interactions and quickly addressing behaviours that are not in line with the Jami’ah discipline plan. Our Jami’ah places great emphasis on character building and Islamic etiquette and all staff are expected to promote this.
- Undertake pastoral duties, such as taking on the role of form tutor, and supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress, potential and behaviour periodically through phone or electronic means and at parent and teacher conferences.
- Improve skills and knowledge in teaching by regularly taking classes, attending workshops and discovering new methods of delivering exciting content to students.
- Participate in and organising extracurricular activities, such as outings, social activities and sporting events
- Undergo regular observations and participating in regular in-service training (INSET) as part of continuing professional development (CPD)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-30 per week

**Salary**: £20.00-£25.00 per hour
