Monday to Thursday 8am - 4.30pn, Friday 8am - 3.30pm.

**SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE WE ARE SEEKING IN AN INDIVIDUAL**

University Degree in Sciences or related relevant professional qualifications to degree level.

Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Ability to lead cross functionally, forge strong working relationships and build effective project teams.

Self-motivated with the ability to plan ahead and use initiative.

Proven FMCG industry experience in personal care formulation and science, and formulation in oral care would be great to have is not essential.

Excellent IT skills - particularly MS Word, Excel - with the ability to present. information in forms, tables and spread sheets.

Self-motivated, energetic & positive attitude.

Proactive solutions and problem-solving abilities.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Developing and formulating products based on consumer needs, insights and market trends

Initiating new product or claims ideas based on consumers research

Preparation of laboratory and stability samples.

Develop product demonstrations for new innovation.

Present new projects and research to a wide audience.

Sourcing of external assistance where required.

To be involved with laboratory and/or clinical in use tests to validate the safety of the products

Working closely with Marketing, Technical Manager Production and providing technical support.

Working with Quality Control and Packaging Departments to provide technical support.

Equipment - ensuring the proper use and maintenance of equipment and instruments used.

Reporting to the Senior chemist/R&D Manager any problems observed with products on test.

Literature searches and reviews of related topics when developing and formulating new products.

Processing - assistance, when required, for methods of manufacture.

Work with and create new SOP’s where appropriate**.
