An SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity has become available, working at an all-through special school with children with complex and additional needs.
** SEN Teaching Assistant
** Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ all-through SEN school
** Long-term role, working full-time
** SEN Teaching Assistant role, starting immediately
** £400 - £450 per week
The SEN Teaching Assistant:
For this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you must have experience working with SEN, particularly Autism, ADHD and complex learning difficulties. You should be able to create a nurturing, stimulating environment to support the young people you are working with.To be eligible for this SEN Teaching Assistant position, you must hold a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant qualification and be able to demonstrate a wealth of experience working with complex needs.
The SEN Teaching Assistant Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be providing classroom support, both academically and classroom management. You will be working with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, working with pupils from EYFS - KS5. For the younger pupils, you will be doingphonics and numeracy work, as well as engaging in sensory play and other stimulating activities. You will also be expected to engage in wider-school activities such as clubs and trips.
The School:
This all-through special school based in East Birmingham caters for pupils with EHCPs, due to additional needs. The school has a high intake of pupils with Autism and complex learning needs, for which they receive support. There is extensive CPD offered toassist you with your professional development.
